The course was designed by one of the world’s most renowned architects Mr. Ron M. Garl. Once he set feet on the 770-rai flat open land of Today’s Alpine Golf Club, the architect’s vision was to build Thailand’s one and only man-made hilly championship golf course. The course designer came up with carrying out the impossible task of building grass-covered hills on the vast flatlands, topped by hundreds of hand-picked trees and refined with high-grade sand. All these were aimed to introduce golfers to many unexpected golf challenges at Alpine Golf Club.

Thai Country Club, Bangkok Region: The Thai Country Club was developed as one of the finest golf clubs in Asia and opened to the golfing world in December 1996. The design adapts from everyday casual play up to a very tough challenge for the finest players in the world. The 7,097-yards course was first seriously tested during the 1997 Asian Honda Classic won by Tiger Woods. Scars left from the tin mine era have been imaginatively incorporated into the overall scheme, creating a unique character at the same time as establishing an indelible link with an important era in the Island’s past. Designer Jon Morrow and co-designer Al Tikkanen, have created a highly strategic and challenging 6,900 yard layout to complement the shorter and gentler old Loch Palm Course.
